Wow - I can't believe this will be my 16th year! Watching my two sons and all of their friends grow throughout our JCC Camp programs has been such a joy. Creating a summer experience filled with lifetime memories of songs, stories and laughter is why we live "10 months for 2." Love switching "hats" in the summer time and leading camp.
Together with our AMAZING Leadership Team we will provide your campers with the single best Jewish Day Camp experience. We thank you for sharing your children with us and you have my commitment that we will keep them safe, happy and loved.
I can’t believe this will be my 12th summer at the JCC Abrams Camp and that I’m about to have a Madrichim and a Teen Traveler in the program – time sure does fly by! JCC Abrams Camps has been a second home for our family. Camp is a place where all children can be silly, make mistakes, embrace their Jewish values and just be themselves. In addition to planning year-round programming, I spend a lot of the off-season getting ready for another amazing summer experience. Now that Teen Travel is ready to get back on the road, planning amazing trips is also a top priority! Looking forward to another amazing summer!
Assistant Camp Director & Unit Director for "Doves" (1st-3rd grades)
I have been part of JCC Abrams Camps for the past 23 years along with my two children, Jared and Erica. To me, camp provides a second home where our second family meets each summer to reunite as if we had never left for the school year. Throughout the winter months, I enjoy planning for the next camp season, teaching at Adath Israel religious school, and facilitating anti-bullying program through the Girls Unlimited Program and the Peace Center. There is no place I would rather be each summer than with your children surrounded by songs, smiles, sunshine, forming friendships, and creating fun! I am looking forward to yet another fabulous summer!
Camp Administrative Director
I can't believe that I will be entering my 10th summer at JCC Abrams Camps. My daughter, Eliana, started camp as a preschooler and will be a Madrichim this year. My son, Josh, will be in the Teen Travel program and can’t wait for camp to begin! Every year I love welcoming back our camp families, as well as meeting our new ones! It’s amazing to see the campers grow and mature from year to year. I look forward to a fun camp season!
This will be my 11th summer at JCC Abrams Camps. I have served as a Unit Director for several age groups, and this summer I look forward to being at camp to help care for campers and oversee the many facets of operations at camp. I am a middle school language arts teacher during the school year, and I look forward to connecting with others in an active, friendly outdoor environment all summer long. Camp has been like a second home for me and my 3 sons. I can't wait until the summer of 2022.
Unit Director for Specialists
I am very excited to be back at camp for my 9th year. I enjoy leading our talented Specialist team and assisting them in each of their unique areas - Sports, Arts and Adventure. Currently, I am a Physical Education and Health Teacher in Edison and coach ice hockey & track. I have played on competitive ice hockey, football, lacrosse, baseball, and soccer teams; however, ice hockey has always been my passion. My goal for the summer is to help campers gain self-confidence by pushing themselves outside their comfort zone in a safe, fun way. Who's ready for Color War?
Unit Director for "Robins" (Prek-Kindergarten)
I am so excited for another summer with this amazing camp family! I feel truly honored to spend my days with our youngest campers (Prek-Kindergarten)! I love to combine my passion for working with young children with my love of all things Abrams Day Camp!! I have been a JCC Abrams kid since the summer of 1981, and camp truly feels like a second home to me. I have worn many different hats in my past, from camper to counselor, specialist, and unit director. My kids Joel, Jacob and Ruthie will be joining me for our 9th summer together. We like to think of ourselves as Abrams lifers!
Unit Director for "Hummingbirds" (4th-6th grades)
I am so excited to join the JCC Abrams Family this summer! Camp was a huge part of my life growing up and where I met some of my best friends. I have been teaching upper elementary for 13 years and join the Leadership Team with over 10 years of camp staff experience. After spending the last few summers writing curriculum, I am eager to jump right back into the fun. My children, Mia and Tyler, will be along for the ride as they enter their first and second summers at Abrams. The thing I am most looking forward to is creating amazing memories with my new camp crew!
Unit Director for "Teen Inc." (7th-9th grades)
I am excited to return for my 7th year here at JCC Abrams Camps. Together with my awesome Teen Travel team we will bring lots of energy and excitement all summer long. During the off season I am in my 6th year at Lawrence Middle School and coach the baseball team. My other passions include DJ'ing and watching my Steelers! My commitment is for every teen to feel safe, happy and loved.
We take great pride in providing a safe, fun and unforgettable camp experience.
The JCC Abrams Camp Leadership and Specialist teams are comprised of diverse and highly-skilled teaching professionals that work together to provide a safe, fun-filled creative camp experience. Together with our five-star counselor staff, we work hard for each camper to thrive in a positive atmosphere so that they can reach their fullest potential. Promoting everyday values through a Jewish lens helps build character, compassion and camaraderie through the entire camp.
