special EVENTS
Timeless camp traditions are the heart of our experience, with each summer bringing something new and exciting.
Color War

A beloved tradition since 1960, Color War is the ultimate test of team spirit and camp pride. Campers are divided into two legendary teams., the White Lions and the Blue Rams, and compete in a variety of challenges throughout the event. While the competition is fierce, the event always ends with the entire camp coming together as one, celebrating the spirit of teamwork, unity, and tradition that makes Color War an unforgettable part of the camp experience.

End of Summer Performance

Our camp show is a fully realized, camp-wide production where every camper takes part in bringing a story to life. From day one, campers learn choreography, craft costumes, write scripts, and build props, working together as a cast and crew. As the summer progresses, they prepare for their big debut on the real stage, performing with confidence in a high-energy, professional-style show. Parents are invited to witness the final production at the end of the summer. Lights, camera, action!

Paint Your Counselor Contest

In this fun and creative contest, campers get to showcase their artistic talents by painting their counselors! Each year, the designs are centered around a specific theme, and campers work together to come up with the most creative and imaginative designs. The finished masterpieces are judged by senior staff in front of a live audience, adding to the excitement. It’s all about embracing creativity, teamwork, and having lots of laughs along the way, with results that are always entertaining!

Israeli Fair

At our Israeli Fair, campers embark on a journey to Israel without leaving camp! Each camper boards their airplane (school bus), and arrives in a camp transformed into the land of Israel. With passports in hand, they travel through the country, experiencing Israeli culture firsthand. Highlights include sampling traditional foods, learning Israeli dances, shopping at the shuk, visiting the Western Wall, swimming in the Dead Sea, and even drumming in Bedouin tents. It's an immersive adventure that brings Israel to New Jersey!

Cardboard Boat Race

In one of our most creative and thrilling events, campers design and build their own boats using just cardboard and tape. Once the boats are ready, it's time for the counselors to take over and race across the water! Teams will cheer on their counselors as they paddle the handmade masterpieces, racing to see whose boat is the fastest and will survive the trek. This event combines teamwork, engineering, and fun, with plenty of laughs along the way. The winning team signs our Cardboard Boat trophy, a sought-after accolade summer after summer.

Let's Move Championship

The Let’s Move Championship is an exciting, bracketed competition where campers form teams and compete in a variety of sports and physical challenges throughout the summer. From soccer to relay races, each event brings campers together to give their best effort while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. As the summer progresses, the teams advance through the brackets, building excitement until the championship playoffs. It’s all about staying active, supporting teammates, and celebrating a healthy, fun-filled summer!
